My new obsession.

This is my new obsession on the TV. I just love this serial killer. I am paying more for satellite TV so I can watch the show sooner than on TV.

I always love those kind of shows, movies and books anyway....

My dark side??? ( hey I did graduate from Law School)

i watched the first episode after seeing your recommendation and i think one from Merideth also?

i can see the appeal – very smart, great character study and even though dexter is a violent homicidal maniac... he's kind of sexy... well in that weird violent homicidal maniac kind of way.

but it was all just tooo ickky for me to keep watching im afraid. I think my dark side is just too squeamish.

Yes a lot of blood can make you squeamish....
But it is such a great show!!!!!!
Watch a couple more and you wont be able to stop!

Dexter is awesome! We're too cheap to pay extra for special cable tv channels; but we hate the bowdlerized versions for "free" tv, so we've rented the series DVDs from Netflix. Yeah, that way we do NOT get to watch the episodes when they're fresh; but, like I said, we're cheap and we do get to watch the uncensored versions.

After we discovered Dexter, based on a friend's recommendation, I ran to the library to get the books. They're delightful.

We LOVE Dexter! The kids and I looked forward to watching it every week. At first my daughter thought it sounded pretty "sick" until she started watching it, then she was hooked, too. It brings up all kinds of questions that are rarely touched on conventional t.v. and we have a great time talking those things out (justice, vigilateeism, profanity, human nature...)
We've also liked "Mad Men " on AMC and I REALLY loved "Six Feet Under". I think I was in mourning when it ended!

I'm going to check this out with Cliff. He loves CSI and cops show. We can watch season 1 on our laptop.
